Imo State Govt Commences Compulsory taxpayers identification

The Imo state government calls on all well-meaning residents of the state to obtain their IMSSBN.
IMSSBN stands for Imo State Social Security number and is a unique identification number which every resident (both individuals and cooperate firms) and indigene of Imo state must obtain and use for every of their transaction with the government, be it land transactions, tax payments, participation in government programs or even opening of bank accounts.
The use of IMSSBN in the state will ensure the uniqueness, reliability and authenticity of every information obtained about residents and indigenes and will also call for accountability and transparency on the part of the government as it will help in government budget planning, savings and provision of basic social amenities.
IMSSBN will help in creating a database of residents and citizens in the state which will ensure a more inclusive government and that everyone, including stakeholders in the state will enjoy the dividends of democracy.
